SpamCop
Spam Cop is a service that allows people to complain about spam. The service parses spam emails, and figures out who to mail complaints to. There's a free version and a paid version. As I sit here looking at a Spam Cop nag screen asking me to become a paid member, I'm reminded that Spam Cop has a bad business model.
Spam Cop users are volunteers, trying to do something about the spam problem. They're trying to do something good for the community of email users in the world. By forcing them to pay money, Spam Cop is taxing the wrong constituency. People who are just trying to do the right thing are being penalized. Bad business model.
