We've been hard at work on our new Web site and have many great things to share with you.  There are simply too many new enhancements to share with you in detail in one newsletter edition, so we will start with a brief overview of new features and then spotlight one feature at a time in each following edition of this newsletter.  Lastly, we want to thank you, as many of the improvements have come from your suggestions!

THE NEW ONELIST:  OVERVIEW OF ENHANCEMENTS TO THE SERVICE

Many of you have already used the new ONElist Web site and have seen how it has made moderating your communities much easier.  Here is an overview of enhancements from a community moderators perspective:

o Overall design - clearer presentation, consistent navigation and easier task management overall
o Moderator areas clearly designated by an "M" symbol
o Community Main page - view/edit community information and settings all in one place.  Member management is made easier.
o My ONElist (formerly Member Center) - access to subscriber functions and moderator functions are no longer separated
o Expanded Help Section - moderator topics clearly designated, more questions and answers, easy-to-read format, better categorization of help topics, and a glossary

PRODUCT FEATURE:  COMMUNITY MAIN PAGE - MORE INFORMATION AND
SETTINGS AVAILABLE AT A GLANCE

ONE great addition to the ONElist Website is the Community Main page. Now there is one place where you can view/edit the information and settings for your community as well as access all community tools. Some of the features of the Community page are:

View/edit community info:

o View:  date of community creation, date of last message, number of members, administrative email addresses
o View/edit:  community description, community name, ONElist directory listing, purpose statement, member posting privileges, primary language of the community, maturity level, welcome message and auto-delivered files

Access Community Tools:

o Membership, Messages, Member, Files, Calendar, Surveys, Links, Invite, Settings, Files

You can get to the Community Main page of any community you moderate or are a member of from the My ONElist page at:
http://www.onelist.com/myonelist

MODERATOR TIP:  UPDATE YOUR WELCOME MESSAGE AND AUTO-DELIVERED
FILES
======================================================================

Now that the ONElist Web site has changed, make sure that when you are communicating with the members of your communities that you are steering them to the right place!  Now is a good time to check your welcome message, message trailer and any auto-delivered text files to be sure that they are accurate.

Remember to keep the following in mind:

o URLs have changed.  If you've included any links to specific sections of the ONElist site, you should make sure that they are up to date.
o Terminology has changed. (Member Center is now called My ONElist, Archive Page is now called Community Main page, lists are now called communities).  If you describe parts of the Web site, it's a good idea to make sure you're calling the new sections by the right name or your members will get confused.

The welcome message, message trailer and auto-delivered files are all accessible through the Community Main page.  To get there:

1.  Go to the My ONElist page:  http://www.onelist.com/myonelist
2.  Click on the link to any community you moderate
3.  Click on the Settings link
4.  Click on the Welcome link
